The Aspie #6 – Being Keen on… Roblox

Yes, it may be a platform aimed at Kids, but I find some of the Games created quite enjoyable!

Unique Places

My third and final category is no doubt subjective and according to my personal taste. Also, the games I list here might very well fall into other categories that they realistically belong to, but what would I know since I come in and out of Roblox depending on my mindset and what I want to prioritise playing.

Anyway… My first induction into this category is Work at a Pizza Place by Dued1 because it is simply iconic. It’s frequently front and centre of Roblox Marketing and I can definitely see why as someone who plays it regularly. There are plenty of features to sink your teeth into, from a Sticker Collection to complete, to Pets to collect and raise, to Houses to upgrade and decorate. It regularly receives updates, and the music is original to the game, albeit made by external composer Kyle Allen. I have composed a YouTube Playlist of (almost) all the music used over the years, which can be played here.

Next on my list is Eviction Notice by Peak Precision Studios. If you like Big Brother (US), this is the Roblox Game for you. Original Music by the creator makes it stand out in that area, the full collection of which can be listened to here. You can also create your own Leader Room (equivalent of Head of Household bedroom) and purchase Chests with your in-game winnings to earn Pets and various personal effects such as amulets, keys and the way you exit the House.

I’m now going to swing into Innovation Inc. Games and start with the Innovation Labs by Madattak. Now, I’m including this game on my list because it is a classic game that I played a lot when I was starting out in Roblox. However, it is behind the times in terms of its mechanics and design compared to other games I’ll be talking about in a moment. Although, I have heard rumours through the grape vine that it may be overhauled soon, but I’m not active in any Discord Server or Community Wall connected to the group so I can’t confirm or deny anything. Until then… Watch this space!

There are actually two official Innovation games I play more often at the moment. The first is the Innovation Arctic Base primarily because of the setting, the aesthetic and the fact you can claim a Laboratory and decorate it with lots of science-based items, which is what I enjoy most about it.

The second is the Innovation Inc Spaceship by Festivereinhard2. It’s because there are a lot of Badges that are difficult to find, which means you must be both creative and lucky to find them all. There’s also music I can’t quite work out the complete collection of yet, but it is a project I have in mind and maybe might make a future series of posts about, prospective details on that at the end.
